Monolithos Castle
We arrived to Monolithos Castle after a breathtaking journey along the island's western coast. Because cell coverage was spotty, getting there was a bit of a challenge. The vistas were breathtaking, and there was enough of signs to learn about the castle. I'd love to see the Rhodes tourism office provide a driving tour commentary on its sights. I believe it would encourage more people to visit this part of the island.

Rhodes Old Medieval Town
Going to Rhodes in the end of June / beginning of July. Reading everyone’s write ups I can’t wait a holiday is to be ventured and it certainly sounds like a superb place to take a holiday. Can’t wait!

Rhodes Old Medieval Town
My wife and I visited Rhodes just before covid and have been trying to get back since.
We are (hopefully) going july 2022 and cannot wait.
I have been holidaying to all the Greek isles over the last 20 odd years and this is one for the bucket list.
Besides the normal charm of the Greek people, everything here is perfect. Restaurants, shops, scenery water walks, just all perfect.

Afandou (Afantou)
Stayed in Afandou many years ago. Fantastic and lovely, superb people and hospitality, love to go back someday! Even I am 74 now with some health issues I will make it!

Fourni Beach
Continue down the road from Monilithos and you will reach Fourni Beach. There were only a few visitors who seem to stray here. The wonderful sandy-pebble beach and a small taverna are just great. If you climb up the long rock on the left hand side (there was no signposting) you will reach some caves and the a burial chamber. Everything is a somewhat hidden and you have to explore a bit. From up there you have a great view of the two bays. The trip is really recommended! Make sure you have a pair of sturdy shoes with you if you also want to explore the area arounf Fourni beach.

Agios Georgios Beach
Recommended, but be prepared for some adventurous roads. It is very difficult to get there in the evening so make sure you come and go when there is still some daylight to help you avoid obstacles. There is allot of fine sand on this beach, and when the weather is windy the sand flies around and this may be uncomfortable to some. The beach is shallow for the most part, and the waters are crystal clear. No amenities whatsoever however.

Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John
If you happen to be a history enthusiast, this is a must see location. The Palace of the Grand Masters is situated in the old town of Rhodes. It also has modern restrooms, a souvenir shop, however there was no audio guide available, and there are few exhibits .

Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John
This a very well maintained and restored Castle. It was a fantastic experience, not only because of the castle itself, also the mosaics, the statues, the wooden ceilings, the alabaster windows, it all is well worth the visit.

Seven Springs (Epta Piges)
Even if the small waterfall is not much, a trip to the Seven Springs is worth it just for the delicious food at absolutely fair prices! We will definitely come again. The tunnel is quite funny, but also a bit scary!
