26/11/22 at 19:00: Seminar for teachers of all levels and forms of education, on "The Time Travel Method in the Learning Process".
The
seminar will present: the international conference and training
attended by members of the association in Kerasunda, Turkey, through the
ERASMUS+ mobility programme, the Time Travel methodology of applied
historical revival introduced by the International Network Bridging
Ages, based at the Archaeological Museum of Kalmar in Sweden, the poem
"Death of Rhodes" by Em. "Time Traveling through a Poem", on which the
experiential project "Time Traveling through a Poem" will be based.
The
training will be completed on Sunday, December 4, when an experiential
activity (historical revival) will take place, using the Time Travel
method for a limited number of participants. A prerequisite for
participation in the experiential programme on 4/12/22 is to attend the
seminar on 26/11/22, as well as an online session to be announced to
those who register and a face-to-face meeting on 3/12/22 to prepare the
experiential action.
The Time Travel method is an innovative
educational tool for using local heritage and history in the learning
process, which aims to generate reflection on contemporary issues (e.g.
equality, democracy, diversity, etc.) and provide tools for community
development. Its philosophy: by knowing our historical past, we
understand the present and shape the future.
The seminar is
addressed to teachers at all educational levels but also to those
interested in using an experiential learning process in their field of
activity (e.g. scouting systems, theatre groups, environmental,
humanitarian organisations, etc.) or work (e.g. training institutions,
private schools, etc.).
Participation in the entire training is
free of charge and Certificates of Attendance will be issued for those
who attend the entire programme.
The seminar on 26/11/22 is open
to the public and is organised in the framework of the ERASMUS+
programme and is held in parallel with the Medieval Festival of Rhodes.
For those interested in continuing in the experiential training,
applications will be made on the spot on the day of the seminar.
Seminar facilitators: Anna Achiola, Despina Karagianni, Eleftheria Binikou, Yola Pelekanou
