Rodini Park

Rodini Park was probably the first landscaped park in the world. It was still popular with the Romans some years later and they left a bit of an aqueduct here.

The Marine Aquarium in Rhodes is located in the basement of the Hydrobiological station and offers visitors the chance to have a close up view of the marine life of the Eastern Mediterranean, providing the impression of being underwater.

On the western side of the island of Rhodes, approximately five kilometers south east from the village of Theologos (or Tholos), there lies the Valley of the Butterflies - also known as Butterfly Valley (Petaloudes in Greek). This is one of the most attractive destinations on the island.

Elafos Hotel

The hotel is on mount Profitis Elias (Prophet Elias), near the Byzantine monastery with the same name. It comprises two buildings, a three-storeyed one, "Elafos" and a two-storeyed one, "Elafina", both with a basement and a high pitched wooden roof.

Municipal Art Gallery

The Municipal Gallery of Rhodes today houses one of the most representative and authoritative collections of 20th-century Greek painting. Most of the painters who worked creatively during these nine decades are represented in this collection through some of their most characteristic works.

The miniature horse of Rhodes

Rhodes’ miniature horse, or Rhodian Pony, is an endangered horse species found on the island of Rhodes in Greece. Efforts to save the breed began in 2001 by the "Phaethon" association, which succeeded in collecting and stabling the little horses, ensuring their survival, while sensitizing the local community to their plight. Though they are also known as Rhodian ponies they do not have typical pony traits, apart from their small size.
