The 10 best places for tourism were highlighted by Tripadvisor, through the Travellers' Choice Awards, taking into account the reviews and ratings of visitors
For Rhodes, which is in third place, Tripadvisor writes:
"The largest and also the most popular island of the Dodecanese is located on the eastern side of the Aegean Sea and it is Rhodes. The well-preserved medieval town of Rhodes is located in the north of the island and bears the same name as the island. Tall hotels line the northern and eastern coasts. In the island's hilly, 80-kilometre-long interior, one encounters authentic Greece."
For Santorini, which deservedly ranks tenth, Tripadvisor says:

The island's popular Perissa and Kamari beaches, with their black volcanic sand, attract many tourists, as does the notorious Kokkinis Beach near Akrotiri (a must-visit location for lovers of archaeological finds). Santorini, which stretches peripherally around a vast lagoon in the Cycladic island cluster, offers spectacular views from the towns built high on the mountain, fine cuisine, wonderful galleries, lively nightlife and excellent wines."
