Filoxenia LindosFiloxenia is a family traditional questhouse, 25 years old, recently renovated in a quite area which offers a spectacular view of an ancient Acropolis.

A typically Lindian hostel, the epitome of folklore happily married to good taste and set against a truly idyllic background.
Whitewashed houses, sandstone-clad, arched doorways, narrow streets and Lindos Citadel to dominate this splendor.
We have been careful to preserve whatever old, handmade and Noteworthy that still links our day to times bygone.Mosaic floors, traditional Benches, pebble-ornamented courtyards. We used a collection of hand paint ceramic plates to decorate our courtyard.
We also used old earthen pots to plant olive trees, and colorfull flowerpots forrosemary, jasmin and basil.. We had the walls painted in soothing ochre, alternating with Venetian purple or traditional dark green.
Come along to feel the magic of an other time...
Come along to expirience our hospitality...
And keep the feeling...

Hotel location: Lindos
About the resort: Lindos
Lindos is for most visitors the most impressive archaeological site on the island of Rhodes. Here the dramatic natural landscape is enhanced by the picturesque quality of the town built in a more recent past. You will find the most important archaeological monuments within the enclave of the Citadel (acropolis), although quite a number of interesting remains are scattered at various points within the town and in its immediacies.

A road leads high up to the acropolis, and if you wish to avoid the tiring climb you can hire a donkey at the entrance of the town. The medieval walls are the first ruins you will encounter - fortifications built by the Crusaders (early 14th century) on the remains of earlier defenses, both Byzantine and ancient. There are also some towers along the medieval walls, which follow the natural contours of the high ground.

Nearest beach in the area: Lindos
Follow the sign for the beach and you'll find yourself at the left-hand end, while if you go straight down below the Acropolis, down Pallas St., you will find yourself at the right hand end, known as Pallas Beach. Basically they are two different beaches sharing the same bay. Sun beds everywhere, umbrellas, tavernas, crowds of people - from groups brought by coach from other parts of Rhodes to Brits who settle in Lindos each year for the whole summer. Old-timers reminisce about the little blue flowers that used to grow in the sand, and about the celebrity yachts which once anchored here in the beach's heyday. Now, unfortunately, the place seems to have entered a decline. If you dislike crowds, make for Pallas Beach, which is relatively quieter. The water is shallow and ideal for young children.
