The International Films + Visual Arts FestivalEcofilms, takes place in Rodos, every June.
The Festival invites the participation of films - fiction and documentaries -, shorts and features, encouraging issues related with the natural, the human, the built environment, the water and the wetlands.
All participant films had been produced after 1st January of the previous year.

Rhodes International film+visual arts festival
21 - 26 of June 2005
The International ECOFILMS festival will take place in the city of Rhodes, in the halls of the National Theatre of Rhodes, the summer cinema "Rhodon" and the Municipal Theatre.
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy movies of fiction, documentaries and films of ecological interest from all over the world.
International committees will give away the following awards
1st award for long-length movie, 7000 Euro
2nd award for long-length movie, 5000 Euro
MEDWET/RAMSAR award, for the best movie for water and hydro biotopes, 4000 Euro.
1st award for short-length movie, 5000 Euro
2nd award for small length movie, 3000 Euro
And 2 public awards which will be presented by the Cinema Club of Rhodes.
During 2005 the ECOFILMS festival will also announce an international scholarship for young students in the field of special studies in optical and visual productions for the environment.
As a special tribute, visitors will also be able to enjoy the 2nd part of films dedicated to the Dodecanese after the 2nd World War, from the files of Instituto Luce, co-produced with the CinemAmbiente festival of Torino.
